Planning Reports

Our highly experienced team can assist in assessing the impact of a
new building on any existing residential properties. Early analysis
ensures the optimum design is achieved.

Many Planning Authorities throughout the UK and Ireland require a Daylight and/or Sunlight assessment to be submitted as part of the planning application.

The Building Research Establishment (BRE) guidance document ‘Site Layout Planning for Daylight and Sunlight’, A guide to good practice, Second Edition is deemed by authorities as the recommended criteria to test daylight and sunlight levels.

BREEAM
Credits

BREEAM requires daylighting levels to be assessed within the occupied spaces in order to target the HEA01 daylighting credits.

LightSIM can assess and produce reports that can be directly submitted to the BREEAM Assessor.
